We propose and analyze a numerical method for solving the nonlinear Poisson equation −Δu = f(·, u) on the unit disk with zero Dirichlet boundary conditions. The problem is reformulated as a nonlinear integral equation. We use a Galerkin method with polynomials as approximations.
